It’s The Investment

Image
When making a financial investment, one considers many factors but the main component is to make more money. The intention on the investment has been planned for there to be a greater return whether it be financially, intellectually, or for the sake of a brighter future. One who invests has done enough homework to be confident in knowing that he/she is secure in allowing that substantial amount of money to no longer be as liquid as it once was. Because of their due diligence, there is no anxiety and no checking every 30 minutes to see if it’s matured or not. It’s a long termed investment; therefore, he/she can relax in knowing that the plan will be manifested and the capitol will be accessible soon enough ( Proverbs 29:18 AMP ). This entry came out of a short clip from the Steve Harvey Show. He has moments in the program where he allows the audience to ask life questions. Most of the questions are about relationships. This particular audience member asked about her 6 year relatio...

From The Root (part 2)

Image
There are some people you may consider to be absolutely wonderful. You have never seen him/her speaking a harsh word to anyone and has managed difficult situations masterfully. In school, he/she has prioritized to the point of you being envious with how well they have done throughout their academic career and as an adult, there has been no difference only more improvements. Everyone agrees, if you don't make this person your intended, you have lost the good sense God gave you. Have you met such people? When I was a child, the adults would tell me to watch out for those quiet ones. It was a warning I adhered to until I read in the scriptures to remain quiet shows wisdom ( Proverbs 17:27-28 AMP ). Are both pieces of advise good? Can people show good fruit because they have sown good seed? Why be apprehensive? See, if that question can be answered in part 2 of this dating inquiry:  2. You are so devoted and in love with your intended. This person is everything and more that you've...

A Good Man Is Hard To Find

Image
Says who? This is some thing that has been perpetuated in the world but has no place in the hearts of true believers. Anything said often enough can be accepted but it doesn't mean it is the truth. If you accept such a statement, it should also convey 3 other things about you: 1. You have not studied the Word for yourself. 2. You don't know who you are in Christ. 3. You have very little faith in God through Christ Jesus. For some reason, things have been twisted. Why would any woman be on the look out or is using whatever means she can to find any man? Why isn't her efforts put to better use? Is the reason why she is on "the hunt" because she considers herself virtuous, wise, and good? She has cleaned all of her skeletons from her closet, she has finished the assignment God has given to her, and she has thoughtfully considered her ways. So instead of waiting for patience to have her perfect work, she has decided to do it her way? What do you think the product...

Slim Pick'ns?

Image
Way back when I was a teenager, I would listen to the older women talk about how minimal the choices were when they were in their twenties. They would say, "if the men aren't already married or gay, they're in prison." Then they would look at me and continue, "What are the men going to be like when you get ready to marry?" I wasn't really interested in marrying at the time, but what they were saying stuck, especially when I would hear World News Statistics about the ratio of men to women. Slim pick'ns indeed! What was the last generation of women thinking about when they decided to accept the proposals of marriage? If they thought there wasn't much to choose from then, they had to compromise what their perfect man was ( Philippians 4:6 AMP ). If they compromised then how great was marital life to them and how wonderful were the lives of the children with two people who had to be miserable? In my current place of employment, I work with t...

A Heart Condition

Image
A young man has this fledgling relationship that he has dubbed her to his family as the one . He caters to her every whim and as most relationships are in the first year, it is incredible! She has a career and her focus is clear as to how to obtain her long range goals. The same is for him. but then, because of outstanding traffic tickets, the police stops this young man for the last time. He is taken to jail and his car is confiscated. He doesn't call his parents for bail but his incredible girlfriend who happens to be the one . When she comes to bail him out, of course, they have a discussion and more then likely find that it is the first time they discover some information he wasn't at all willing to divulge. A history of traffic tickets is a flaw. Finding that the tickets were because of non-registered plates, not having insurance, and a warrant for not appearing in court is also a means to reconsider one or two of those future goals. He might have discovered that she chang...

Those Tiny Crumb Snatchers!

I first must ask your forgiveness for not making more of a strong stance on a subject that is as important as life itself. I don't know how I got around to having this blog page for so long without making more of an emphasis on what God counts as His treasure. I suppose its because that I sensed and have been asked about so many other different subjects on Christian dating, I forgot that this is a new season, a new generation, and values have been tampered with. Though there have been issues and problems in the past that every generation finds more important then their predecessors, it doesn't take away from the fact that this generation has had more occurrences even with the information then any other ( Psalm 73 AMP ). Children... they are everywhere and the reports of the growing population decreasing have escaped me if there is any such document at all. I have written about parenting and the things we did or didn't get as children we have to watch so not to have those...

Recognize The Wolf

I recently drew a poster I thought could be used for a movie advertisement; but upon close observation at the finished illustration , I thought about this deeper then what is in black and white. as many times as the children's story has been told, do we take those lessons and apply them in our Christian lives? This one screams of a moral and Spiritual ethical message. Its not understandable to me as to why I haven't heard it, other then the way the Lord is giving it to me now. Maybe some minister preached this message somewhere and I just wasn't there; this would not be true for you, I plan to keep this blog up for whomever is interested and needs to go back to it. In the children's story the little girl felt it necessary to explain to the wolf where she was going and what she was doing. In the story, the little girl gave the wolf all of the information he needed to know to gain access to a two course meal (the little girl and her grandmother) that he wouldn't ha...

Obligated

Image
Every time I think I went over a topic to exhaustion, something else arises to where I begin wondering whether I touched on that point enough or not and if I did, is it understood to where it has become common sense then anything else? Well, to some of us, most of these topics are common sense but only because of the Holy Spirit living on the inside of us while we are persistent in walking in love in all that we do. If you didn't know where that common sense came from, now you do. With that, let's understand the concept of obligation. To be obligated to someone is to be indebted to that person. It is a bill whether it being an actual, tangible document, or just an understanding that when it is time to collect on the debt, the person collecting is expecting payment at the point of asking. Let us all understand right out of the gate that the Word tells us to owe no man anything but to love him. With this in mind, there should be an immediate plan to get out of debt and stay o...
