Sugar Babies

Image
The candy, Sugar Babies, I discovered as a child of maybe 10 years old. I liked the predecessor, Sugar Daddy. To date, back then, it was my favorite. The long caramel on a stick lasted longer then any other candy and it satisfied any sweet cravings a child that age would have for a little while. When I tried the spin off of the Sugar Daddy, it paled in comparison. Having the palette of distinguishing good candy from the mundane (no candy is bad to a 10 year old - except for black licorice), I didn't like the grainy feel on my tongue. After tasting a few of the caramel like balls, I signed off of not to purchase it again. Though others didn't feel the same, it had to be well liked in order to have stayed on the shelves this long. It is interesting however, the way men refer to women as eye candy when describing certain attributes. Women do the same thing when using the term, beef cake. Yet while both terms allow the listener to understand that the person is attractive, eye ...

Does The Word Not Challenge You?

Its the funniest thing, that a man who is respectable in his community and has done what he needs to in the eyes of God would want a woman to be as respectable as he would claim himself to be ( 1 Timothy 3:1-12 KJV ). Yet when the mood arises (in the dating phase), and he attempts to arouse his intended, would he then be offended or challenged when she rejects his advances? Can you see the funny (not ha-ha) in that? You see there are these "alpha male" personality types that see everything as command and conquer. There is nothing the matter with this because it definitely is needed in the body of Christ. That's bold determination and actually an attractive quality. There is no fear in that personality. In fact, he will usually look at men strangely when they would much rather reason things unto a slurry mess. You know the kind. The talkers, the lecturers, until the opposition surrenders because they would much rather take a nap then to hear anything else from this pers...

Sex At The Broadway

Recently I wrote a blog: Sex In The City . I figure I touched on a subject matter that was relevant in the church and should be addressed because of the interest it generates. Not because of the things of the world having slogans that sex sells, its for the knowledge of my fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. If there is no new knowledge on a subject matter then we tend to use what we already know to do and that is the old man that has since passed away . I am writing this sort of part 2 to the previous blog because I still think I was vague about the subject matter. Coming from a different perspective, seeing that people digests information in all sorts of ways, I figure clarity can't help itself but to be seen. No confusion or misconception as to what is meant by this or that ( 1 Corinthians 14:33 KJV ). And in order for the clarity to be all that it needs to be, you know I have to use the Word of God. In the faith life style that I have chosen for myself, I have noticed t...
