Understanding Her Anger

Image
Its been a long time since she has been asked on a date, she has been handling the baggage of being rejected in the past and has been patient to be found....well. It took you seemingly forever to grow up and now she doesn't know whether she wants to be bothered with ever being married. Should you just throw up your hands and walk away? Would you throw up your hands if you knew you had treasure in a chest but no key to open the lock ( Hebrews 11:6 AMP )? Why would she be different? I just started thinking about this; listening to women as they express themselves on a myriad of matters. I then had to take that information and put it into perspective based on whether this was coming from a Christian woman knowing that Jesus is Lord and for patience to have her perfect work as opposed to a woman not knowing the Lord and allowing for her flesh to speak for her. What? Don't we all do that? Wouldn't a man do that if he were speaking to a woman he was interested in? Wait! I me...

You and Me Jesus - Just You and Me!

The title of this blog is something I usually say when I have gotten fed up with some of the things we do as Christians. I know I am striving to be more like Him just like we all strive to do and I know we are at all different levels of maturity...still, don't you see some things can cause you to say to yourself, what were you thinking? Or how stupid are you? Or even still use some other colorful phrase that could possibly question if you are a Christian ( 1 Thessalonians 5:23 AMP )? Honestly, I have. But what else can you do when you see people do the silliest things and then ask God why... why... WHY?!!! Its not His fault. He told you to let Him be at the helm of your life ( Proverbs 3:6 AMP ). He told you to put on praise ( Isaiah 61:3 AMP ), the whole armor of God ( Ephesians 6:11 AMP ), and His love ( 1 Thessalonians 5:8 AMP ). He told you not to do evil for evil but to pray for those that do wrong to you and bless those that spitefully use you ( Matthew 5:44 KJV ). H...

You Can't Tell by Looking

The cliché the world use to say was, "why buy the cow if the milk is free?" This seemingly answered the question to women who wished to marry but didn't have the discipline or desire not to give away the goods so casually. The word, casually here would mean without a commitment. When did it change about women saving it until marriage? How did desperation become greater then patience? Could it be the pressure of family, friends, or hearing the label spinster one too many times? Which ever the reason, trying out the goods with casual sex or cohabitation without marriage is no longer the surprise it use to be ...and the reference is not to sinners or the world. In watching a favorite detective show, one of the characters; wealthy in his own mind, continued to elude the detective of evidence needed to convict him. His crimes were seducing young pre-teen girls in giving him massages and finishing with a "happy ending". When the task was complete, he would pay the...

Lift Every Voice?

There aren't too many reasons why people marry. There aren't too many reasons why people come to church to find the ideal person with whom they would like to spend the rest of their lives. There have been entirely too many people that has allowed their eyes to make that call rather than hearing what the calling (Spirit led) has to say. It is the last statement that should create interest to this new generation of believers so that any unwanted cycle in "the family" can stop right now ( Matthew 7:15 AMP ). During the dating process, initially, eyes are all a twinkle and we do put on our best behavior; why this behavior isn't constant would be up to the willing participants of the date to see and make a quality decision afterward. When I was in my late teens, I went on a date with this absolutely gorgeous man. I was elated that he not only found me attractive but was stammering in trying to get my phone number. He didn't know I was elated and the calmer I co...
