The Heart of Oakie-Doke

The last entry of this blog had the definition of Oakie-Doke and all it entails. Please have a quick read to understand completely what the reference means. Recently, I was thinking about that verse with Abraham when he was leaving his parents' home and venturing forth with the direction of God at the helm, only Lot, his nephew, never got the memo and he came along as well ( Genesis 12:1-5 AMP ). The thought that was troubling was if Lot was married when he decided to leave with his uncle. The Word doesn't tell that he had anyone with him but it does clearly define that Lot had a family when leaving Sodom and Gomorrah. Or did the Word make those clarifications because of where the hearts of his family would rather have been ( Genesis 19:1-16 AMP )? The Word tells us to guard our hearts for out of them come the issue of life ( Proverbs 4:23 AMP ). We have the understanding when dating that we should be open and honest with the one we hope to be our intended. We tell of our c...

The Glue To A Marriage

There are a number of things I try to do in this blog to assist people in gaining better insight in the Word of God. If nothing else, I hope people would try to pick up their bibles again and find the scripture to refute what I have been writing. Not for the purpose of arguing , rather to start enjoying the love God has set before you in those wonderful pages. The error I recall here was while I was dating for the purposes of marriage and after we failed in the marriage. While dating, there was a pastor that preached over and over again that the glue to a marriage...

Got Manners?

I enjoy the work I do. I enjoy writing and drawing my observations of people. Many times I get so engrossed with what I am seeing, I forget to write or draw about it. It takes time to digest some of the things people do and don't think anything about ( Proverbs 4:7 KJV ). I was asked today after discussing why grown children are happy returning home to reside with their parents well after their 30's. The definitive answer came back, its how they were raised ( Proverbs 22:6 KJV ). The parents don't have a problem with it, then why should the children? When parents raise their children, what they become is presented to people as representations of who the parents are. This would also be true with common sense. What's common sense to one may not be with another. This is why with this subject matter, we will stay with what is universal to all. This post is for those who would like to date for the purposes of marriage but all that you have been fortunate to converse with...
