Making It Plain

I have been thinking about this blog and if there is anything, any topic, or subject matter that has not been at least touched upon. I know something will eventually come to me, but in that moment my thoughts were circling around those that aren't willing to finish the process by which we are all called to do - administer the good news. Now it is a topic that I think has been completely exhausted but when I am aware of believers venturing forth to do whatever, I can almost hear the complaints years down the road even before they get there. I am beginning to understand why ministers go all the way around the mulberry bush just to say the simplest message. They are trying to keep the listener interested in order for them to heed the warning which has been preached over and over again. I understand it, but that doesn't make me like it. People enter into relationships for all sorts of reasons. From being lonely to doing whatever is necessary to annoying relatives at the ready to sound off about being single. The empathy is for the unsuspecting individual in such an a relationship believing its all for the right reasons. For them, the truth that sets them free might initially be devastating. Take, for instance, the beautiful woman that has been dumped several times and has now landed a man that has everything she has ever hoped for. She thanks God for blessing her yet she has some misgivings because of the many times when she thought she was in a committed relationship only to find her intended with someone else or has been cheating on her for months. This time, with this new man she orchestrates to seal the deal with a pregnancy. There, now he's not going anywhere because he has an heir to all of the money and he will love her forever for giving him a legacy to carry out the family name. We turn the page and...

Hm, I thought about this and actually believed I had written a post about it sometime ago... but that must have been the manuscript I was thinking about. It had to do with what one delicately puts as the May/December relationship. There may be snow on the roof but plenty of fire in the furnace... to not put it as delicately. In either analogy, you must be able to see the fallacies in that sort of thinking. Would that God put such a pair together? If we look at this in its most practical form without negating the Word, you will see the mistakes that people have made and realize that there aren't any follow up stories with those relationships. Whether it be a man with a little kitten or a cougar with a boy toy, in that perspective we can clearly see that it is the flesh being fed and satisfied. But we are peculiar and know that the flesh has been crucified with its lusts and affections so if it be the older woman and younger man or the older man and younger woman, it would not be...
