Making It Plain

It is not something that is thoroughly discussed because a new couple never factors in hobbies and other interests as being a problem in a marriage. Nevertheless, when a man gets to be an enthusiast in a sport that he will never play in but keeps scores of all of his favorite players, ladies need to realize that this seemingly innocent interest could become the mistress that no woman counts on. He will spend every weekend with her and some week days. He will eat with her and laugh in a manner that he will never have with you. He will share her with his other friends and when she isn't there, it is all he and his friends can talk about until she returns again. And just when you think the season is over and you have at least 4 months to be with your new boyfriend, fiance, or husband without interruption, it is time for a new season of a different sport. Its like he turned in the blonde for a redhead. He will try to pacify you with some kind words and a bauble or two, but you know...

I was having a discussion with a woman who is about 20 years older then me. She is so interested in meeting someone and was asking me who in the community seems lonely and would like to meet someone as well. Granted she is a believer of God but her maturity level is a little lacking. I told her of a man that has watched her from time to time and could be interested in her. He is around when she volunteers for projects and I believe it was just to see how she handles herself in social settings. She was so excited to know that there was someone that was even looking. She asked for me to describe him. Being employed in an elderly community, the description of him being elderly with white hair and looking like this or that was not much different from every other man residing here... though, oddly enough, it satisfied her. She paused for a moment and her elated expression changed. She said, "so why hasn't he come to speak to me?" Why would she think I had the answer to this?...

Having established that there is a difference in dating the way the world does it and God's way, us, ladies must also realize and be determined to live by that women were made for men and not the other way around. It was taught that women can do it all; however, out of that change, the Word continues to remain the same. Can we still do all that we have discovered and remain holy and acceptable unto God? Of course, God wishes above all things that His beloved (us) be in health and prosper even as our soul prospers (3 John 2 KJV). It is that abundant life. Having read that, continue to have that frame of mind when finishing this post. We (men and women) have also come to terms that desperation is for fools and God did not raise us to be that way. So leave those thoughts of no more good men/women left, that biological clock, and if you don't have sex soon you will die, to those who are without.
